The Brighton beach
close from Brighton Marina House Hotel
Just a 3 minutes walk from Brighton Marina House Hotel is the Brighton beach which has been awarded the European “Blue Flag” for safe water swimming and the beach front is now in the top 10 target for people looking to visit a seaside.
The beach is believed to have over 650 billion pebbles – just to say we did not count them. On you arrival to the sea front by road transport, you will see an iconic land marks of the  Brighton Pier. This is where you will find all the fun and frolics of a travelling fair and is a eight minutes walk from Brighton Marina House hotel. You can kick things, you punch things, you can throw things and you can ride things. You can eat and drink to your hearts content from a variety of place, mostly fast food.

A Taste of Sahara

At the weekend I went to a new restaurant opened by a family friend,  called 'A Taste of Sahara' which serves Middle Eastern food. It has been a really long time since I went out to a restaurant so this was a nice change :)

I had a really basic, standard dish served in most Middle Eastern places, Rouz Dajaj, literally 'Rice Chicken'. It's a bit of a lazy choice but I knew that I would like it, plus, check out the heart shaped rice!

My hubby went for a Lamb Tajine,

And my mother in law opted for the Sultan Mixed Grill,

We all left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.
A Taste of Sahara is in located at 103 Western Road, Central Brighton, go check it out if you're in the neighbourhood :)

Best of Brighton: Lunch at Havana

I was going to post about cupcakes but instead thought I would tell you about Havana, which is one of my favourite places to eat in Brighton. The decor is beautiful and the food is simple but delicious. I frequently have a weekend lunch there and yesterday was no exception!

I ordered a feta cheese and rocket salad, which was unbelievably tasty. A really simple dish but full of flavour, yummy!

Havana has something for everyone. They have lots of vegetarian dishes but also plenty to tempt those who favour fish or meat (you can go for a set menu or a la carte)

If you are in Brighton and fancy a lunch or dinner in a sophisticated and grown up environment then do check Havana out. Havana is on Duke Street in the Lanes, you can visit Havana's website to see their prices and menus.

Until next time! Sarah x

Stay at Marina House Hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel, just for the weekend. It was surprisingly affordable and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Overall a very nice hotel if you are looking for somewhere central, close to the seafront and don't have any intention to spend lots of time in the hotel but just want something nice and clean

Brighton Marina House Hotel – My stay

The whole experience of staying at the Brighton Marina House Hotel was excellent overall. They even helped us with the parking of our car. And parking is a big problem in most major cities of the UK. We were also advised of all the interesting activities we could do in the city of Brighton in Sussex. The rooms were elegantly decorated and very clean. Very good value for money. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The location of the hotel was a walking distance to the seafront. We would certainly recommend this hotel to those who wish to stay in this beach city and historical area of England.
