London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

The annual London to Brighton Veteran or old Car ride is perhaps the world most unusual and oldest motoring event of its type. 

The race or run takes place on the first Sunday of November each year and has a cult following. People from all walks of life take part, from Royalty to ordinary Joe, all equally passionate about their vehicle.  

The trip starts at Hyde Park in London and make its way to Madera Drive at Brighton Seafront. This is 3 minutes walk form Brighton Marina House Hotel.

Such is its attraction that owners from all over the sphere arrive with their prized possessions.

You may well think the owners to be Eccentric but how may of us can we have looked after as antique as well the owners of these veteran cars.

Here you will find some of the most basic engine whish have stood the test of time. Hundreds of cars take part and there are some over one hundred years old.  

The veteran car owners show remarkable enthusiasm and often under difficult weather conditions arrive into Brighton having shown great determination. Great determination because many cars breakdown on the way and the owner are often seen getting stuck in with their sleeves rolled. Many cars do not have a roof and this is equally challenging.
